We are so excited to share this week’s blog because it’s extra special, we got our first submission from our baking contest form and this is our last blog!! 🎉 Huge shoutout to Sarah for sharing her favorite dessert: Tiramisu!

Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert that’s indulgent, creamy, and layered with coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cheese, and a dusting of cocoa powder. Sarah’s recipe has a fun twist: she adds a hint of vanilla extract to the mascarpone layer for an extra cozy flavor. Trust me, you need to try this one!

Here’s the recipe Sarah shared with us:

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 ¾ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups brewed espresso (cooled)
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional but highly recommended)
  • 2 packages ladyfingers
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
  2. Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Combine the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the mixture, being careful not to oversoak.
  5. Layer the soaked ladyfingers in a 9×13 dish, then spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with the mascarpone layer.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
  7. Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

That’s it your Tiramisu is ready to enjoy! 🍰 Pair it with your favorite coffee (I’d recommend a bold brew to complement the flavors), and you’ve got yourself the ultimate treat.
